Ancestral soul, child fixated
on Canso’s shore, open-mouthed
harbour.
Dawn approaching.
Accepting his vision tourists
seek further sights
along the Marine Trail
digital images capturing
tide surges, visitors admiring
scenic
montages, tail-flicking
whales, plunging seal, and astounded
as seagulls stall in private
movements, signatures layered
on tide-abandoned rocks---
cars continue intrusions from cove
to silent cove, capturing
the fullness of an Atlantic view.

Thank you so much, Jennifer. This poem is such a peaceful scene compared to the 110 mm of rain dropped on our town a few days ago. What a stunning rainfall. I was so glad our apartment was on the second level. Cheers from Richard and Esther.
