from the ABC set POETRY - A Passage of Motion 2

I read the print of early morning
arrival with its smile ever
widening, slit of brightness
peeking across
an expanse of lake
illuminating a sober influence

an exhibition of reddish hue
saturated among a garden of yellow
expanding into a yoke of
summer joy, masking memories
from yesterdays, fulfilling
promises to befriend, to capture me
in its iridescence, its purity.
