As a crow watches
in agony, I am a flick
of a cigarette

all is at an end, no
job, no hope, but then
who am I to judge?

Is it really that bad?
No, not really.

There are friends who
care, yes there are.
And I do have friends

I know I have…

Very different from your other contributions Richard. Still a nature reference in there- and does it work? Undoubtedly. Very good writing.

Hello Scratch, glad you liked this one. I have so many writing thoughts running through my head constantly. It's great. And I do try various directions and watch how my words evolve on paper.
