I want to fly to
the moon and save the
fee Russians charge
on their spaceship
(wings of imagination)
to see movement as
dust is stomped beneath
my feet.
I want to snare the largest
fish in the pond with
bragging rights
to last a generation
and folks chatter about a lad
who snowshoes in mighty
strides where pine
trees began their calling.
I want to create momentum
encouraging others
to follow a path
where dreams await
the substance of their domain
coloured in ribbons
overcoming all fences.
Yes, I’m not ready for the
graveyard where nothing moves
but the wind.

It's good to live with a few ambitions and dreams Richard. You have to expect a few spectacular things before the eternal sleep.

Thank you, Highhat. Life is indeed precious, no matter what. After my stroke in 1999, I still appreciate being able to wiggle my toes, first thing in the am. Richard LP
