ROSE BAY, NOVA SCOTIA - poem

from the ABC set POETRY - A Passage of Motion 1

Ocean’s froth is gathering
along the shore, winds pushing
foghorn blasts
into the bay, forest’s
silhouette saluting our twin-peaked
cabin, footsteps
in the sand as misty outlines
on the beach
seagulls swooping with
lasting messages
peek-a-boo driftwood on a beach
of seaweed,
clumped in salty disarray.

On the shores by Tatamagouche, the sea whispers with splashing currents against the shore. Peacefulness in the sun, hot sands under our feet, then the wind arrives reminding us how precious it is to be alive. RLP
