The Birds

Small humming bird
sings, little yellow tweets.
Braves huge black tallons
resting aside these weak feet.
Television echoes in a hollow house
rattles through my skull; I feel alone
the presence of a threat, digs down into the marrow of my bone
I turn on the radio, I'm startled by it's drone.
Paradise, fresh air inviting flock of birds to dance,
circling the clouds, critising my flowers
They're just jealous.
I don't want to grow up
I could hibernate forever
nestled under my comfy confidence barrier.
Can I fly? I'm too scared to try.

Seeks similar, small humming bird.
