anathema

beat-up pick-up trucks
and worn out ideals
acid rain
and gasoline rainbows
(the stray cat
comes and goes
like a Cheshire feeling)

anathema
anathema

watered down philosophy
and feel-good irony,
the great metaphoric marathon
picking up where it started
going in circles
in and out the door,
burn it down
less is more

anathema

very enjoyable... you could do 'less is more' a bit more though... and make the poem smaller by taking out odd words...

snelson hello.

I can just see them driving by.

"...beat-up pick-up trucks..." through "...gasoline rainbows..."

A philosopher on the road.
