Here In "BORDERS" Books

from the ABC set Kurt Blowbrain

2 months ago in Thailand,
I handed a garbage digger a dollar...
and a large seahawk glided strongly
over rocky jungle island.

Now I stand in Borders,
nobly perusing illustrated astronomy
and the mellow, natural verse of Wordsworth.

3 months ago in Thailand,
I was lucky to view a glorious art-work:
a rusty blue, green-spotted
colossal gecko lounging in a Laotian restaurant.

Now I stand in Borders laughing at "The Victory of Reason"
and horribly at "The Pocket Guide to the Apocalypse,"
in the Christian section.
Fucks are as crazy as I am...
and aren't aware, as I try to am.

4 months ago in Thailand,
I ate tiny squid delicious
plus perused a glowing, glaring square
that said some Japanese in a submarine
video-taped a sixty foot squid.
Where?
I aporry; I'm unaware.

Here I stand at Borders,
digging the flowing war Greek helmet
on the cover of "The Illiad"
but it's only glossy paper, really;

Greece fascinated my 11-14 years.

Two months ago in Siam,
I had 5 amiable drams with
a 50-ish Irish man-
with striking eyes, a 25-ish Thai bride.

Now, I walk past "Images of Ireland"
pondering the space themed carpet
in the children's section-
an outlandish inspiration!

Three years or so ago,
I was having a lacerating!! fungii experience
and afterwards saw Grateful dead bears
haunting the rolleprechaun Oregon hills.

Now I'm getting softable on the
Borders coffyshop leathery chairs;
the fellow across from me is
reading a dyed and flattened piece of tree flesh:
apparently "Candidates Move Into Uncharted Territory."
He's wearing comfortable tan khakis
(no doubt serf sewn in Thailand.)

Outside the window walls,
progress bred acid rain is splashing
on a tranny nude in bronze
next to a blue "Pathfinder;"

15,000 years ago or so
a bold MAMMOTH grazed and
a camel plodded in their places.

Here I stand within a "Borders" within the borders of the USA territory and fungi armed entity-
