Why I Don't Support Barack Obama

As brevity is the soul of wit, and I have other things on my plate, I'll be brief. I watched the "foreign policy" debate last night; My opinion is actually that we shouldn't have a head of state as the modern world is too complicated for one individual to play such a large role. But, through outdated tradition, we still do have "presidents" and we're in the process of electing one here in the U.S.A.
Of course I don't support McCain; Actually, I think he's a scummy spokesman for the real scum of the earth and wish the Vietcong would have kept him. And I don't think there's any real chance of his taking the presidency; Too many string-pullers and power-players back Obama and, besides, the Bush Administration is not only ruthless and crooked... they've also behaved insanely, uselessly invading Iraq, wrecking the economy, etc. So we'll get our change of party, a change back to the party to which my family has always belonged since my great-grandpa, light-weight boxing legend, and Chicago Chief Bailiff and Senator Henry Leonard, a Lt. of Richard Daley.
But I do not support the Democratic Party or its nominee Barack Obama and last night's debate is a perfect example of why. Both candidates expressed imperalistic and war-like attitudes toward pretty much the whole world... everybody who doesn't buy into one-person, one-vote democracy; Those who actually read history would know that this included every one of our "founding fathers," more or less; the U.S.A. was not intended to be and wasn't originally a pure democracy.
As a native of this land, I wish it were the best in the world... as it was when we came to the aid of Europe, spilling lakes of blood on the beaches of fascist-held Normandy. But we are no longer, not that nations really matter that much anymore.
We are all citizens of one world... whether we choose to be good citizens or not. We must treat virtually all cultures with respect and dignity; And the U.S.A. should conduct diplomacy not just for the interests of the 300 millions residents of our new world, but also see humanity's value in China, The Middle East, Russia, Spain, South America, etc. This business of only treating foreign lands with respect if they obey and emulate us is, to be informal, complete fucking bull-shit.
So, Barack Obama and the mainstream Democratic Party is only the better of two evils; I'm not personally calling Barack evil as I see a certain inspired decency in him. But at this point he is a naive spokesman for an evil imperial machine, which doesn't care about the blue-collar workers of America any more than those of Cuba.
I don't say this for theatrics; I deeply wish it weren't the case. I would like to hold my head up as an American; Maybe it won't be too long before we can.

I dare say the average American is no better or worse than the average Chinese or Iraqui, but it's going to take a lot more than a new president before the world csn look on America without feeling sick (nauseous). You're not hiding. We SEE you.

We SEE how Americans love to torture as they kill. If you have to kill your own citizens, it can be done quickly, cheaply, cleanly and painlessly with almost any inert gas. Nitrogen, argon, helium, etc. Instead you use the same substance the Nazis used to kill the Jews. It's messy, toxic and expensive, but you have the pleasure of watching your victims suffer as they die. You're not hiding. We SEE you.

We SEE you become hysterical if anybody burns an American flag, yet make no comment as your public figures piss on your nation. Until you value America more highly than a flag, or can even tell the difference between the two, what hope is there for you?

How loudly would Americans howl if anybody damaged the constitution document? Yet how quiet do they remain as the constitution is regularly defiled? Do you think the constitution is made of paper? We SEE you.

Until you can tell the difference between a pretty (though utterly un-American) poem on the base of the Statue of Liberty and American immigration policy, what hope is there for you?

You aren't living in the fantasy America of pretty documents and flags, you're living in the real one of ugly thoughts and deeds, in a nation that revels in its own diseases.

Why don't we talk about guns? The ugliness of your religion? Rednecks? Guantanamo Bay? You're not hiding. We SEE you.

It's going to take a lot more than a new president to fix America.
