Dare myself to play the game,
open the forbidden page,
foolish me,
caught in the flash photography,
flinch from the searing memory,
like a finger from the flame,
stumble blindly off to find,
the cold tap of forgetting.
Dare myself to play the game,
open the forbidden page,
foolish me,
caught in the flash photography,
flinch from the searing memory,
like a finger from the flame,
stumble blindly off to find,
the cold tap of forgetting.

I like it very much indeed! You have written a masterpiece, of something so common as looking old photographs ,that bring hurtful memories.
