It's raining tonight in Canning town
the chill of your exit is ice to my shame
in my passenger mirror, your departure eclipses
diminishing brake lights, neon fish & chips.
Cigarette smoke eddies and waves
A poor substitute for the drug that I crave
Bryan Ferry says it how I never could
and I don't understand how I misunderstood
the basics of signal, manoeuvre, mirror.

Great track and great poem;-) Just a tiny typo in last line, should be 'manoeuvre'. Weird word or what?
Very atmospheric this, I could smell the smoke and the fish and the chips. Nice one, shoe.

I echo Tina's comment; brought me back, in more ways than one. Great atmospheric write.
