Once I thought hypocrisy
Would tire and go away
But now I see, universally,
That she would rather stay
Such behaviour oh her part
Convinces me she's smart--
A temptress urging us to cheat
And lie from sheet to sheet
Someone said hypocrisy
Was simply part of life
No longer do I doubt that line
I, too, have felt the knife.
