Wasn't sure about a synonymy between ululating and warble, but other than that most clever, I thought. I now know some zoology!

Hi there, animan. Thanks for reading. I guess 'warble' is just describing the kind of 'ululation'...well, that's my excuse, and I'm sticking to it;-)

Pleased you enjoyed.

Extraordinary! I've just spotted a lesser-spotted ululator in my garden, which kind of proves your point, I guess!

Brilliant, Tina! I wish quails would sport top-hats more often - I think they really suit them ;)

Very much enjoyed :)

I hear a lot of this Sand Lady "...Ululating Vixens warble..." from the house two doors down.
And I had "...Xiphias..." with chips the other night.

All in all a great night in.

Astonishing feat! Rh

"Mantis never, openly, pray." - love this play on words, Tina. The whole poem has a gorgeously Zen feel to it. Well done!

Well, I can go one better than that, animan. We have a greater-spotted one in ours;-)

Thanks, Rachel;-)

I see you definitely been bitten by the bug, too. Splendid, yours. Enjoyed greatly and very clever.

Hi Hudson...just see what you went and started! And a darned good thing it is too. It's amazing fun, and it really gives me something to think about when I'm doing my boring chores. Thanks for your inspired inspiration;-)

Thanks, Pia. I must admit I often 'read' the dictionary, but just lately, much more vividly, which can't be a bad thing. So pleased you enjoyed, and thanks again;-)

Many thanks, Jenny. I just happened to notice you've just posted your offering to this zany exercise, so I'm just off to read it;-)

Your words are classic, ScoZen...and put my 'little offering' in the shade;-)

I do hope the ululations are not disturbing you too much this evening, and that the Xiphias didn't give you heartburn. I have heard that mushy peas go down a treat with it too;-)

I love this. Its clever and its very very good.

Sorry I have not been around... had a few months rest while moving to london and having a engagement ring presented to me. I have been in my own little bubble.

Good luck with future writings xxx
