from the ABC set Silver Spun Sand Poems

Crazily
it shone...
that moment –
she
and I
and the ocean
Ripped
into shreds
the unbelievable
drenched
in serendipity –
steeped
for the summer
Sized
with sand –
fine
as a breath
Silhouettes –
golden-shouldered
girls
preserved
in brine
hung to dry
on a sigh
and a kiss
beneath
a popsicle sky
A splinter
prized
from the pier;
inscribed
her name
and mine...
dipping
my pen
in ripples
of silence
and a cornflower
afternoon...
A cormorant
eclipsing
a Strawberry
Moon
