King Lear loved his daughters, all three,
but which of them held him most dear?
He set them at odds,
did the silly old sod,
which predictably ended in tears.

My thanks to you, Luigi. I always find trying to write limericks very taxing. They're not as easy to do as they seem, most certainly...for me at least;-)
