Lear in a Nutshell

from the ABC set Silver Spun Sand Poems

King Lear loved his daughters, all three,
but which of them held him most dear?
He set them at odds,
did the silly old sod,
which predictably ended in tears.

Silly me, dear Tina. I asked you if you had produced one in my other comment and then realised that the easiest way to find out was to look at your page.
And, lo and behold, there it was in all its brilliance. Very witty.

My thanks to you, Luigi. I always find trying to write limericks very taxing. They're not as easy to do as they seem, most certainly...for me at least;-)

Glad you enjoyed it. Have a pleasant Sunday afternoon and I hope it's not tipping it down as it is here.
