My name's Marilyn. What's yours?

from the ABC set Silver Spun Sand Poems

Looking for a good time, handsome?
Barrel of laughs – that’s me.
We could while a way an hour
or two – three if you like.
Any currency accepted.
Euro, dollar, yen,
Swiss franc, rouble or indeed
the good old diamond. Every girl's
best friend.
Satisfaction’s guaranteed,
within the realms of possibility.
Most fetishes catered for,
long as you’ve the readies.
Take all bloody night
if you’ve a mind to,
but that comes at a price.
Rubber and bondage,
maybe that’s your cup of tea
or are you more into leather?

Whatever – dig deep
in your wallet. And please,
don’t go on a guilt trip,
not with me at any rate.
Her back home is an ocean away
and you know what they say
about what the eye doesn’t see.
It’s not a crime to be lonely.
If it was, yours truly here
would be guilty as sin.
Come on baby, don’t be shy.
Whatever kind of deal you’re after
I’ll deliver, but like I said before,
specials don’t come cheap.
Money buys any kind of love, mister
except the kind you can keep.

Love the lines:

'Her back home is an ocean away
and you know what they say
about what the eye doesn’t see.'

and

'Money buys any kind of love, mister
except the kind you can keep.'

They stood out amongst the others.

I always enjoy your work. You are a great poet, and some of your lines make me itch with that writerly jealousy - 'now why didn't I write that?!'
