When Santa got stuck up the chimney
it wasn’t a crashing surprise,
he’d been stuffing his face with roast-turkey
and lashings of luscious mince-pies.
His sleigh came to rest on a rooftop,
then somehow he’d shinned up the stack
and managed to squeeze down the chimney
but got caught like a rat in a trap.
The commotion awoke the whole family –
the kerfuffle and hullabaloo...
“Quick, Santa’s got stuck up the chimney,
whatever shall all of us do?”
Then swift to the rescue came Grandma,
with a flue-brush of quite ample size,
but Santa went crackers
when it met with his knackers!
It’s not often that Santa Claus cries.

I did laugh.
You want flue vice flu before the brush.

This one goes back a long way, Magic, written as it was for our family's traditional 'poetry evening' every Christmas Eve. I have since improved it, I hope, and I am so glad it made you titter;-)
