A honeymoon in Valley –
a cottage on the beach;
perfect peace and loads of sex
for one amazing week!
Saturday we spent in bed,
on Sunday – took a cruise,
but six a.m. on Monday,
the earth began to move...
At the bottom of the garden
was an air-force training base,
with Sea-kings and Tornados...
Give me fairies – any day!

This is a cracker, for the (IP)
I like it all, but the last stanza good.

Lovely humour
I remember hurriacnes flew to
very low bedford I think, I stayed
once, we rushed into the house then.
The noise astounding.

The noise was absolutely horrendous!! We took loads of photos of them as they skimmed the roof of the cottage and at least we got a free holiday out of it from the holiday company in compensation!!
Fortunately, although it was late April, the weather was wonderful and we were able to get out and about, and it has given us something to laugh about over the years, so it wasn't all bad;-)
Thanks for reading, Julie. Glad you enjoyed.

Now I know what it means when women say: "The earth moved." When I hear that particular expression I shall think of the Red Arrows flying overhead.
A very amusing tale that made me smile.

Thanks, Luigi;-)
In the end we managed to have a great time - and I learned more about aircraft in that week than I knew in a lifetime.
The walks around Anglesey are so beautiful that the noise hardly seemed to matter.
Have a good weekend.

Wonderful. Completely bizarre combinations of occurrences in one place. Makes one proud to be British ... (Welsh I'm guessing, here - what would the druids have made of it?)

Goodness only knows, Rob;-)
The whole thing was totally bizarre, but Anglesey is really a beautiful part of the world, so at least that, in a way, made up for the unfortunate happenings;-)
Glad you enjoyed and thanks for telling me.

Glad you wre safe. So low been special break
with sister then, out into friend's garden too.
Bedfordshire, zooming over.
Oh! soory tired, wrongly hit wrong key for hurricanes. Frightening wasn't it.
In my days once went to Farnborough air show,
with cousin see friend and her husband. Wow!
as you say, you couldn't here one talk?
also the Red Arrows here, fly low between
the houses ugh! I remember The Doodle-bug do you?
I was only six, going up hospital hill for bus stop!
She mum threw me down. But now found out museum photos and people, it was a Messersmitz. Photo in next room and gas masks museum. Do you remember.
Getting old, not wiser. I put bit in my "some Of Life's Mangled Experiences". I think. or The Mangled Mess of Some of Life's Experiences". still wants working on. Weather's bad.
take care!

Hi there, Julie.
Glad you enjoyed this one.
No, I do not remember the doodle-bugs. A little bit before my time, but I of course know quite a lot about them with reading, and TV of course.
And also, have never been to the Farnborough air show, but would love to go someday.
