Yesterday I ran out into the garden
as naked as the day I was born...
it was such a relief after all that
heat, to roll in the grass in the
rain...everything was going fine,
till out of the bushes came a cat -
it looked at me, like I was a prat.

Jenny - this is the 'awfullest' of the lot, in my opinion (and please, take that as a back-handed compliment, as they say;-)
I had no idea what the last line was going to be, and then I truly laughed my socks off...if I was wearing any that is.
Just terribly brilliant;-)

Thanks Tina,

knows a bad poem, when he sees one.

Hi there Pia,
you really made me laugh with your comment, the
mind boggles as to what it would look like,
probably like a nudist camp, if they still exist.
Thanks for reading and the comment.
Jenny.

Good and awful. Having had a cat, I know for sure that a cat and the naked body should never mingle.

Love it, Jenny! Cats always seem to see themselves as superior to us humans, so although awful (in the best way) this is very true!

Thanks for nice comment,I have taken traumatised like your word out.
Yes,definitely the worse, bad writing prize (IP)
Caused me a great deal of laughter. The fun humour.
I just been out and stroked favourite cat, he just sits and stares, while I take his photo as usual.
They are trying get cyclists to wear more?

Hello Rich,
I think you're right about naked bodies and cats
not mixing, especially with those claws of theirs,
Ooooh! painful.
Thanks for reading and that enlightening comment.
Have a great weekend.
Jenny.

Hi Magic,
the more I read this piece, the more I see a
cartoon, something like Tom the cat, in Tom
and Jerry, with some naked woman writhering
around in the grass, but Tom's not amused,
and saunters off, with his nose in the air,
I think you probably get the picture.
I totally agree with you about cats seeing
themselves more superior, every cat I've
ever had, has that expression of, 'You will
never rule me lady, not in a million years.'
Anyway I'm rabbiting on as usual, but thankyou
for reading and the comment.
Jenny.

Hi julie,
your comment is really appreciated and I'm glad
I could make you laugh, that's good.
That cat of yours, is it jazz? I can't remember,
anyway it sounds like it's really attached to you.
They are such really good company, arn't they?
I used to love my cats, but refuse to have anymore,
because it breaks my heart when they die.
Hope you are having a fine day and enjoying the
cooler weather.
Jenny.

My cats shake their heads at me sometimes, like they know something that is beyond my dullard comprehension.
Nice poem , i didn't see anything too awful about it to be honest.
I'll stick to prose shall i? :o(
skinner_jennifer | August 6, 2011 - 16:15
Hi there flash,
don't worry like Tina said, it was a back handed
compliment, like it was good, because it was so
bad, because we had to write a really bad piece
for last weeks insperational point.
I know exactly what you mean, cats are very wise
and I think a little bit psychic if you ask me.
Anyway thankyou so much for reading and I'm gonna
get around to reading some of your stuff.
Have a great weekend.
Jenny.

hahah I love this it's bad in the best way possible and yet you've created such a character, haha I'm just imagining the point of view of the cat! A great piece that's made me laugh, a lot!
skinner_jennifer | August 8, 2011 - 09:20
Thanks maggy,
I'm glad you could get a laugh out of this piece,
just like you said, the cat is starting to have
a character all of its own.
Thanks for reading and letting me know your thoughts.
Jenny.
