Nathen and Ben were enjoying their time with their
new travelling friends. Nathen was just finishing off a bowl of stew, that Martha the old lady had made him.
Martha turned to Nathen, "you want some more of me
stew then Nathen?"
"Yes that would be fine, thankyou," replied Nathen,
licking the bowl.
Martha was stirring a huge, big pot, she was cooking for the whole camp. Nathen was interested to know where she had acquired such a large pot.
"Ah!" said Martha, "well you see, if you were to leave these here forests, you would discover lots of things. There are people that do trade in iron,
that's where we do get our horses shod."
Nathen interuppted Martha, "how do you mean shod?"
"Well we has this iron made that do fit on the horses hoofs, the iron man do make them, he be very
clever you know."
"But why do they need shoes? our horses don't need
shoes."
"Well Nathen, that be because, that's what they're
used too."
Suddenly Ben came running to them, very excited.
"Hey! Nathen...you should come and see this."
As Nathen got up, Martha said, "what you be on about young Ben?"
Nathen followed Ben around one of the wagons, there
he saw a sight, he had never seen before.

Hi again, Jenny;-)
Blacksmith's, eh? We certainly don't have many left nowadays, and that's for sure. Another good chapter. Just a couple of minor points. In the fourth paragraph, should be 'acquired', and in the next and subsequent paragraphs, 'shoed' should be 'shod'.
And what did Nathen see, I wonder? I shall read the next chapter when I have been out in the garden and planted a few herbs. This one, much enjoyed, as ever;-)

I hope you don't mind helping me out, it's really
kind of you and I'm so thankful to you.
That sounds great, planting herbs, I'll bet your
garden looks wonderful, I just love herbs as well.
Thankyou for taking the trouble to read and comment.
Jenny.
