Ocean Of Dreams

from the ABC set Poems

While you lay sleeping
in our bed of dreams,
I softly whispered
to that ancient moon,
sharing the secrets
that only we knew,

your Spiritual breathing
continues to comfort me,
like the motion of tide
the ebbing and flowing,

deep Ocean desires go on,
mystified I feel the water
cleanse my very soul...
so go deeper my love
dream away your dreams,

too soon we will kiss
dawns new rising day,
gathering of visions
just a fading memory,

So exhale early morning mist
as we await Sun's first kiss,
along shoreline hand in hand
you gave me the wedding band,
pearly skies reflect on Ocean
calm...as we walk arm in arm.

A slight mix-up Jenny-but I am very honoured Tina thought this was mine though I'd never be able to create such a beautiful poem as this. You have such a lovely serene rhythm to your poems Jenny- they flow so well and you use such wonderful images from nature.
I enjoyed this one too.

;)Pia
a couple of typos:
3. stanza- too soon
and last stanza- await Sun's first kiss

Very well written. I like
the last stanza.
Made me smile an feel warm inside.
Not the weather, is it, what one does with it.
Have a good week-end.

Hi Pia,

thanks for your help with the mistakes, it reads
a lot better now.

I'm really glad you enjoyed reading this poem, it
was inspired by listening to Led Zepplin of all
things, although has absolutely nothing to do with
their music.

Glad you enjoyed and thankyou for your comment.

This is so very beautiful, Pia, and has put me in a wonderfully romantic mood;-)

Oops just noticed;-) Says she, red-faced. Sorry, Pia and sorry Jenny.

All the stanzas are lovely, but my favourite is the third.

Much enjoyed.

Hi there julie,

it's definitely cooler than it has been and I
suppose this poem is a bit more Summer than Autumn,
but it was just inspired by music.

That was nice that it made you smile and feel all
warm, a very comforting thought.

Thankyou for reading and letting me know.

Hope you have a peaceful weekend, take care.

Hello Jen nice this one.

That's the best time to walk along a beach as the

"...dawns new rising day..." and in the "...early morning mist..."

skinner_jennifer | October 27, 2011 - 11:04

Thanks ScoZen, it must be wonderful living by the
sea, to live so close to beable to experience the
early morning mist.

Thankyou so much for reading and letting me know
your thoughts.

foggy here by the river too!

skinner_jennifer | October 29, 2011 - 10:21

Hi Kahdai,

I know what you mean about the fog yesterday, it
took ages to lift, but when it finally did we had
some wonderful sunshine not to hot to walk in, which
is what I love about this time of the year.

Hope you're having a good weekend.
