Here Comes the Sun!

from the ABC set Poems

The World is bathed in Gold today
as the Sun comes out to play,

altars adorned in Orange...Yellow and Gold
as we Celebrate those Customs Old,

we'll throw those doors and windows open...
listen to the words of Nature spoken,

Herbs are harvested today...
Barbecue - picnics...we eat this way,

so let's commune with Nature in some way
on this Summer Solstice - the longest day.

You've reminded me it's summer-but absolutely pissing down.

Hi there Mangone,

you know you were exactly right, thankyou so much for
helping me out, advice is always welcome from you, I
have changed the wording, because I definitely think
what you said worked better.

Thankyou again for reading and commenting, you have
a sunny day too.

Jenny.

Hi celticman,

the suns been shining here so far this morning, the
clouds have been coming and going. But I've been
out picking lettuce leaves, radishes and herbs, plus
strawberries for our meal later.

Just fed the birds, so they're enjoying their food
too.

thankyou for reading and I hope the sun shines for
you at some point today.

Jenny.

You've got the right idea Jenny...
keep the sun in your heart and you don't need to rely on the weather :O)

Mangone | June 21, 2011 - 10:17

I wish the scene outside my window was as magical as your poem!

skinner_jennifer | June 22, 2011 - 20:13

Hi maggyvaneijk,

thankyou for reading this poem. By the way the weekend is looking brilliant, depending on where
you live. I live in the South West, they say we
will be up in the 20c, so that will be great.

Anyway I hope the sun shines for you, whatever
you're doing.

Jenny.

It can be so depressing reading of how glorious the weather is elsewhere when it rains up here all the time. Then again, this is about as close to the sun as we get. Thanks for sharing, Jennifer.

skinner_jennifer | June 25, 2011 - 21:33

Hi there oldpesky,

I really do hope the sun starts shining for you soon,
we are expecting tomorrow to be in the 70s, so it
will be very warm, I'm sure the summer will come soon
for you.

I say follow the advice of mangone, when he says,
Keep the sun in your heart, then you don't have to
rely on the weather.

But then I think you already do!

Thankyou for reading and leaving such a great comment.

Jenny.
