HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS

Home is where the heart is,
this is true I'd say,
cooking in the kitchen,
watching children play.

Listening to music,
reading a book,
eating my favourite meals,
that I love to cook.

writing poems and stories,
going for long walks,
being with the neighbours,
enjoying the long talks.

Okay there is the housework,
that needs to be done,
but with the right frame of mind,
I can make it real fun.

Then in the evening,
when I'm really tired,
I curl up in my bed,
think of all I've aquired.
