There is a lady in the Bay
she takes my breath away,
I fear she has another love
that lady of the bay,
so I sigh...I wonder why
she wants him not I,
where did she go? I don't know
when diving down below,
what mystery lied beneath the tide
that took this maiden fair?
I loved to watch her on the rocks
comb her waist long hair,
magic has me in her spell
as swimming through the Ocean swell,
could it be another love?
I ask the twinkling stars above,
If I should be the one she wants
I hope that she can see,
that we can swim along together
in love so tenderly.

A mermaid I am sure. How lovely Jenny- well done- nature gets yet another mention even though it is a fairy tale

Really good love word's
of a mermaid, I always liked.
especially the tale!
Very good poem. and what can be
below the sea. Mermaid long hair
and a fanned fish tail, lovely.
I can imagine her vibrantly.
