Purposeful!

Awaking from dreamless sleep
I arise to meet the day,
stepping into the shower
water cascading - invigorating -
enliving and refreshing,

Sun flowers turn their heads up high
catching a glimpse of rays through trees,
I too salute the Sun...
as morning mist evaporates
and rays give me a warm caress,

centred on my Spiritual Chakra,
deep breathing in Asana...
I concentrate - focus
drinking in Natures Magic,

the class is dismissed,
children scramble to play -
the resonant echo of playground antics
as childlike innocence warms my spirit,

laundry waving in soft breezes...
as blackbird sings out his merry tune,
I ponder to watch the busy bees
while up the garden path I wander,

long - narrow stems of grass,
wild...untamed flowers grow
pollinated - wind blown...
appearing like a meadow,

and so to sweep with broom in hand,
clearing old webs away...
a duster in those nooks and crannies -
no more the dust to stay,

so taking a refreshing break
I ponder on the dinner,
a casserole I decide
it's always been a winner...
then apple-pie and cream
Oh! that's a real dream,

as moon drifts across the sky
mystic incense fills the air...
heightening my senses,
soft candles flicker
as I focus on the flame,

restful slumbers calling,
whispers of verse wash over me...
hushed dialogue - quiet unspeaking
as in dreams I drift away.
