As I watched that rocket in 68
it launched you man in Appolo 8,
you gave to me those diamond sparklers
encrusted with jewels just for starters,
I remember when you left me to feel
head spinning like a Catherine Wheel,
on that day we listened to Guitars
across the sea a fountain of stars,
as we kissed fire crackers all around
the aerial shells explode from ground,
and when all is said and done
the fireworks have just begun.

Great one for the IP Jenny-It was a momentuous day when Apollo lifted off AND landed, wasn't it! Loved every line of this poem. Liked the way you transferred the emotion to a loved one, your own personal astronaut!

Hi Tina,
I'm so glad I could take you back, it's strange what
comes in to your mind, when you write and when I saw
the IP, it was the first thing that I thought of.
Anyway Tina, hope you're having a good weekend.
Take care.
