Helice flirtatious as the Willow,
you hang suspended...your limbs
bow down as in a divine dream,
your enchantment a mystery...
a nymph through water you
formulate...for you are the muse
every man and woman honours...
a song of the Willow, casts its magic
in the deepest depths of the mind...
entrancing all those enticed to lay
quietly beneath the bough, a hushed
silence...peaceful...but for the rustle
of her delicate leaves, and the sleepy
ripple...ruffled by a gentle breeze.

Another really beautiful poem, Jenny.
Just a very minor point...'its'...shouldn't have an apostrophe, in the first line of the third stanza.
You really do love your trees, don't you Jenny? This is another fine example of that;-)

Dear Tina, again thankyou so much for your help.
You are so right, I really do love trees, but
then I think you do too.
I'm so glad you enjoyed reading this and as you
know I really do appreciate your feedback.
Thankyou again so much.
Jenny.

"a nymph through water". Super in the context of the piece. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful...I loved trees that I could hide in, without climbing them.. ;)

I thought this was really good, Jenny. So many lovely pictures here and I really do not think that there is a word wasted - strong stanzas, and I know I've said it before, but you do get better and better and continue to delight your readers.
I just adore this:
a song of the Willow, casts its magic
in the deepest depths of the mind...
entrancing all those enticed to lay
quietly beneath the bough, a hushed
silence...peaceful...but for the rustle
of her delicate leaves, and the sleepy
ripple...ruffled by a gentle breeze.
A beautiful poem. Great stuff!

Good morning Chris,
I totally agree with you, about hiding in trees,
that you don't have to actually climb, the willow
is perfect for this game.
so glad you enjoyed reading this and I do appreciate
you telling me. Thankyou.

Good morning sue,
well I think you said it all in your kind words.
Those are certainly my favourite lines, I just
imagined laying under a willow, with the sun
glinting through the leaves and the gentle ripple
of a the water. Oh'! to dream.
Anyway back to reality, your words are always
appreciated and thankyou for your wonderful comments.
Jenny.

Hi Pia,
I know what you mean, they are such a beautiful
trees, with such delicate leaves and weeping, is
certainly what they do, but in a gentle, flimsy
way, almost like a cascade.
Thankyou for reading and sharing your thoughts,
always appreciated.
Jenny.
