Skunk's Missing Depression

Sorry folks to be a pest
Try as I might, I'm not depressed,
This I tell you with great shame,
Lack of stress is what I blame,
I'd have made a good depressive,
If I'd had the gene recessive,
But my DNA's quite fine
I feel cheerful all the time
I can not just sit and wonder
If my life's a pointless blunder,
Even when I'm barely drunk,
I am such a happy Skunk.
