The fog of apathy
cripples our potential,
and stunts us.
I equip myself with weapons,
of flesh and mind,
I saw them in my nightmares
and, convinced, I gave consent.
In the darkness of this room,
you kiss- as far inside me as
you can get, and I watch your face;
your eyes reach out to me, lock,
shoot and claim.
My thoughts are weary, too much
vision in the wrong surroundings.
Shadows creep the walls, and mock my journey;
parasites, I have no need for them,
they witness nothing, they are unknown.
I stifle my sighs, wrap my legs tighter
around you and surrender.

Gritty, dark but nonetheless so beautifully said! Love these lines:
'My thoughts are weary, too much
vision in the wrong surroundings.
Shadows creep the walls, and mock my journey;
parasites, I have no need for them,
they witness nothing, they are unknown.'

damn it, i was going to go with gritty and dark, but beautiful...however magic got it in first! "too much
vision in the wrong surroundings." is a stand-out phrase.
powerful stuff.
