Memories Of Us

Memories Of Us

Matter reassembles itself
dispersing through time
and space. The night
crossings cover every dark
corner of lonliness where
instant sprays of colors prism
through single strands of
stained glass.We look and
suddenly take notice that the
world looks back slowing
becomming an opaque
photograph.
Through the splintered forms
of frayed light an espial
jagged tube of ions pins my
soul to the diffused sky. What
tempest of sweet earth awaits
me now, hidden in the leafen
glow of limestone?
What business of mossy hooves
walk asunder dowsed in the milky
stream of a calico familiar?
While you sleep the ornate passage
to an electric sea closes its doors.
Bruised with searing fire and muck
we awake landlocked by the sound
of a taunting lute.
A hem of salt, a dress of white lace,
leaves our hearts hungry for a basket
of bread and grapes, where the wind
connects the floating archways to
memories of us.
