Resolution Ramble (Acrostic Poetry)

Rising, falling, we move apart, move closer, move away,
Everything we do is in avoidance to that one final exit.
Souls travel through time where all systems are in motion.
Omnipresent clouds swirl around my warm cerveza,
Lost in the wild flirtations of my mind where you kiss the
Uniformity of the night air that lulls the early evening.
Tonight I fall victim to demon rum, my downfall, as
I promise not to drink so much; forgetting you has a price.
One minute, and I'll catch a glimpse of your cheerful smile,
Never coming to terms with your untimely death.
