Romantic Rendezvous
Blue residue clings to the scent
of designer perfume, black cloth
on the earth where they loved.
She calls his name through strewn
silk, frozen sparkles set her eyes,
winter cracks soak her shoes.
He flies out of the darkness at her,
twisting in the open sky. Streaming
blood down windshield, swells;
Son of Sam wishes them well.
