"poison noire"

babylonian eyes
an eagle hawk flies
to your rightly side
a dark girl kneels
behind veils that conceal
an ancient mystery reveals
the feminine wings of sight
have his poison in flight
to arrive this noon night
wicked clouds asunder
as the pale moon wonders
atwist the bellow of thunder
with a lapis ankh jewelled
to the king that did rule
amongst a maze that was cruel
tick the time that the vial
does journey a long mile
to the skies he does smile
he senses it's near
so he turns to the dear
knowing soon, all will be clear
shrouded tightly in gauze
to keep from his claws
as that was the clause in the law
in sight are the wings
with joy it does bring
the breath that indeed will sing
the girl made no sound
enshrouded and bound
as the treasure was found
the vial falls to his hands
as waves lap on the sands
and the eagle hawk pans
he does open the lid
and makes his last bid
as the measure is freed and unhid
the eagle does scream
as that is the theme
of this union extreme
the knight does view
girl in opposite hue
with a soul bright and anew
the veils slip from her form
as poison noire is reborn
the flower akin to the thorn
and still to this day
when veiled in bouquet
the light and the dark will give sway
