she stands within a thousand forests,
silence
as fine as jade.
the tall swaying bamboo
tells its sequined secrets
whilst she, she remains hidden.
floor length dresses
blend
distant mystery
gowned with no available history.
a shadow and then not,
camouflaged and then
a black kimono with
a curtain of wild hair.
uniformed, simple,
though simplicity,
is rarely simple.
