that was the ecstacy of love.
And then we saw the stars
but they were twinkling below.
The worlds astronomers
swore we were a u.f.o.
And then I opened up my eyes,

and all my dreams came true.

Last night, I had a dream
that I was swimming underwater.
King neptune reigned supreme
and I married his mermaid daughter.
We swam through coral coves
and sunken ships of pirate treasure;
then we made mermaid love
and I explored deep realms of pleasure.
And then i opened up my eyes,
and saw your face beside me,
and then you took me in your arms,
and all my dreams came true.
(repeat)

that I was a poor peasant farmer.
You were a faerie queen.
courted by knights in shining armour.
I fought valiantly
against all odds and risked my life,
then we lived happily
ever after with you as my wife.
And then i opened up my eyes,
and saw your face beside me,
and then you took me in your arms,
and all my dreams came true.

this is beautiful, it almost has a fairy tale
quality to it and I love the bit about:-

Thanks alot for your kind comments, Jenny. I was going for a whimsical fairy tale feel in places.
I'm glad you enjoyed it.
I was worried that people may be put off by the cheesiness and simplicity of my songs but real popular songs can be quite cheesy and simplistic and I just want my lyrics to look authentic, like they could actually be real pop/rock songs.

well-wisher,
I don't think there is cheesiness in this piece at
all, but that's just my opinion.
The way I look at it is, you can't please all of the
people, all of the time, but you can please some of
the people some of the time, but as long as you like
it and got pleasure out of writing it, that's all
that matters. But then I don't think I need to tell
you that, because you have been writing a lot longer
on ABC Tales than I have, personally I think you are
much better writer than I will ever be, I'm not just
saying that I mean it.
