We all want to believe in Angels
but know that there are devils everywhere;
devils who’d only try to use you,
tell you all that you would want to hear.
I know you think that you are too smart
to be taken in by all their lies
but these wolves really do know their art
and they can see the trust in your eyes.
Be careful, if you’re looking for an angel
that you don’t meet a devil in disguise.
Be careful, if you’re looking for an angel
because a trusting soul can be sold lies
and I really don’t want to see you cry.
This world may hide so many wonders
but it hides so many dangers too.
I’m just giving you a friendly warning.
I’m sure an angel would warn you too.
‘Cause if you do get your heart broken,
you won’t look for angels anymore.
That’s when the world appears to darken
and devils hide behind every door.
Be careful, if you’re looking for an angel
that you don’t meet a devil in disguise.
Be careful, if you’re looking for an angel
because a trusting soul can be sold lies
and I really don’t want to see you cry.

Hi John,
I agree with what you are saying here, but
thankfully I'm older, I'm also pretty good
at sorting out the clever demons that are
always around, after all I've come this far
in life and I don't trust easily.
I've always known Angels are there, but the
problem is, we have this false illusion of
Angels with wings, that we are supposed to
see, hear or smell, that's not the way it
works. It's about having faith in oneself,
knowing that your guardian is there to talk
to, when you need to sort through problems,
if you can believe in something that you
cannot see, hear or smell, then you have no
faith. And common sense tells me, the difference
between right and wrong, you just have to
find it for yourself, it really does come down
to common sense.
But I did like the way you put the idea of the
good and bad decisions, that we need to be aware
of, to think things through, before we trust to
believing in what someone is saying, in other
words - being a good judge of character.
Sorry if I'm rambling, but I do find other
peoples ideas on this subject fascinating.
Thankyou for the read.
Jenny.

Thanks for your response, Jenny. But this poem was
really written after discovering, via the internet, that alot of young teenagers are getting into Angels,
teenagers who don't have your life experience and
may not be fully aware of all the dangers out there.
I certainly know that, as a teenager, I wasn't fully
aware of all the dangers.

I know my life was ruled by demons for many years and I think as Jenny says that I let the angels in when I belived a little more in myself. I think young people need to believe more in themselves before searching for angels- then it is the demons and devils take over by being cunning and coniving and by lies. I quite agree with you. Its so refreshing you sending a warning out to the young people - they need all the support they can get. Well done JoHn. Thanks for this.

Thankyou, pia. I've been through times of searching
for things and being vulnerable and so I was partly speaking from my own experience.
