Gripping Birdsong

from the ABC set Poems

Through the cracked window, the peaceful sky.

Birds are the breathing and heartbeat of days.
Small birds that leap like genius thoughts
from tree to hedge to telephone line.
Springtimes crowded classroom
fills the air with audible shimmer;
landing lights or stars that lead me
back to life.

Hi well-wisher,
A lovely poem, so expressive.
I love birds so this was very meaningful to me.

Thankyou for the read.

Jenny.

Thank you, Jenny. I like birds too. My favourites are the Blackbird and the Songthrush.

Small but beautifully put across, agree with shoe something wonderful about an audible shimmer. :-)
