Oh, Universe!

from the ABC set Poems

Oh, great reader with your awe bright eyes;
we’re your humble symbols on this living page;
your goldleaf sigils shine like wise,
ageless maxims of a cosmic sage.

Oh, great mirror; oh, shimmering face;
flocks float over your lamb clouded hills;
thunder stags rut and thunder herds race;
rain grows tall so that grain fields will.

Oh, organism of the living universe;
Me; an atom within your anatomy;
a self-similar rhyme in a line of fractal verse;
studying your star filled mind, poems explode in me.
