I have got a guitar plectrum
that can pluck and strum the spectrum.
I play the blues and if I choose,
the reds; the greens and other hues.
On rainbow riffs I drift and glide
like a butterfly but amplified;
try to tune the world and turn it round
to my rockaleidoscopic sound.
I met a man named Sisyphus
who wasn’t very wise at first.
The only role he could fulfill
was rolling a rock up a hill.
Kept rolling a rock up a hill;
he’d roll it to the top until
that boulder rolled back down again.
That rolling drove him round the bend.
He thought that it would never end
but I said, “Sisyphus, my friend,
don’t roll that rock, don’t play that role,
just take control, play rock ‘n’ roll.
Now Sisyphus isn’t afraid
to paint his world in pretty shades.
He’s learned to play the guitar too;
got a shocking pink punk rock hair-do.
And everyone on this here sphere
should shed all of their cares and fears.
While the sun still rises and still falls,
let’s make rainbow music of it all.

well-wisher this is so beautiful, and I love the lines about:-
Now Sisyphus isn't afraid
to paint his world in pretty shades.
He's learned to play the guitar too;
got a shocking pink punk rock hair-do.
I just had this vision of him, brilliant.
Great IP.
Jenny.

Thanks, Jenny. I've been meaning for a
long time to incorporate the myth of Sisyphus
into a song or poem and this latest IP gave me an opportunity to do that.

Thanks, pia. I've always loved Kaleidoscopes and thought there was something very Kaleidoscope like about nature, the way she gives birth to so many shapes and patterns. I'm very glad you enjoyed
my song.
