Amidst the wreckage
of the alien spacecraft,
new grass is growing.
In thick autumn mist,
fireflies are caught in webs
of lazer battle.
“Robodroid guard 9.
Spring. Forest. Birds are singing.
Nothing to report”.
“Each one is unique”,
I tell my young clone Charlie
as we catch snowflakes.
Spring; time travellers
watch yesterday’s sunrise then
spy on their first kiss.
Spring; time travellers
spy upon their first kiss then
enjoy another.

I liked this John- I'd pick out the penultimate stanza which impressed me especially- I'm sure I am hopeless at Haikus but you give me inspiration to give it a try.

Thanks very much, pia. Your comments are very encouraging.
I think that, if you do hundreds of haikus, then eventually you'll come up with a handful of good ones, the scattergun approach; atleast, that's my theory.
As Zen master 'Robert The Bruce' once said,
"If at first you don't succeed, try, try again".
