Chorus:
They’re telling the story again,
the story of hope for all humankind;
praising human glory again,
to lift the heart higher and light up the mind.
They’re telling the story again,
of wisdom and courage overcoming all;
those tales of victory again,
love rising triumphantly while evil falls.
1st Verse:
It’s the story of a hero that can guide us
to the hero that is hiding deep inside us;
it’s the story of a small man fighting giants
that can teach us the true power of defiance.
Heroes facing tribulations, trials and tests,
representing ones we meet along life’s quest;
they keep going ‘cause they’re showing us, my friend,
that you’ve got to keep on fighting till the end.
Chorus:
They’re telling the story again,
the story of hope for all humankind;
praising human glory again,
to lift the heart higher and light up the mind.
They’re telling the story again,
of wisdom and courage overcoming all;
those tales of victory again,
love rising triumphantly while evil falls.
2nd Verse:
And, like a band of heroes, we will always be
as long as loves in the heart of humanity;
whether we’re fighting men or monsters; lords or gods,
together, we’ll conquer insurmountable odds.
And like a band of heroes, when we face our fears;
we’ll see our fears are not as fierce as they appear;
just fight for what you love and what you think is right;
and you won’t lack the courage or the strength to fight.
Chorus:
They’re telling the story again,
the story of hope for all humankind;
praising human glory again,
to lift the heart higher and light up the mind.
They’re telling the story again,
of wisdom and courage overcoming all;
those tales of victory again,
love rising triumphantly while evil falls.

'They’re telling the story again,

this hymn is a pretty perfect scenario well-wisher. I wish a lot of people could sing this hymn and if you did it often enough you would know where it leads to.
I hope you don't mind me putting it in the forum topic so more can read it? I think it is really good.

new well-wisher
This is a poem
To warm the hearts again
to all put down their weapons
and peace and love could win.
Reminds me of
Hymn Onward christian soldier's
song "Pick yourself up
dust yourself down
and start all over again".
Well done all your word's
come from the heart lovely.
I value vote 100 out 100 to you.
Whatever comes around in life
we must do this.

Thank you,pia. I've just seen your post in the forum
and I'm very touched that you thought my lyrics worthy of a forum post.
I do think that, as sources of inspiration, stories of courage whether religious or secular, fictional or real are important.
BTW
I'm not sure if Blighters Rock will approve of your
post though.

Thankyou, Julie. I value your comment 100%.
I do think that, especially when it is so hard
to trust traditional sources of authority; when
we see corruption in the world of politics, media,
religion and even in the police; people need inspiration and uplifting and thats something
that writers, artists and other creative people
have the power to do. The world can seem very bleak
and I want to create small reminders of bright things like love and hope.

Oh I don't think Blighters will mind at all. It is the personal advertising he opposes and I tend to agree with him.
keep writing
