We are the snake’s tongue and the swallow’s tail;
ears of the rabbit; nose of the beagle;
the little black ant and the long blue whale;
part lion, part woman and part eagle.
We’re the tumbleweed and the waterfall;
the lightning and the crooked willow tree.
We are the laughing kookaburra’s call;
the elk and the elm; the sky and the sea.
We’re the venomous duck billed platypus
and the healing leaves of ‘seven years love’;
hoof of seahorse and arm of octopus,
plus the dazzling zodiac above.
We’re threads in a web, legs on a spider;
pelican; gazelle; monkey puzzle tree;
anaconda and the one inside her;
royal bengal tiger; humble bumble bee.
What creature walks on quintillion legs
and is reborn each spring from a giant egg?
Put the last puzzle piece in place and see.
Who is life? What are you and what is we?

Very enigmatic. Not sure I get it - but I'm not sure I'm supposed to straightaway. Rappy too. I like it.

Thanks, Leander.
I was thinking about the Sphinx from the legend of Oedipus and it sort of grew out of that.
Very glad you enjoyed it.
