Young Santa Clause

from the ABC set Poems

One Christmas morn,
a boy was born
with a beard as white as snow
and the first words
his mother heard
him say were “Ho! Ho! Ho!”.

One Christmas day,
he got a sleigh
and pet reindeer to pull it.
To his surprise
the sleigh did rise
and flew off like a bullet.

“My son, One day”,
his dad did say,
“You’ll be a postman like me
and bring gifts to
the children whose
little hearts will fill with glee”.

And dad was right,
on Christmas Eve night,
he now flies round the world
delivering
the toys that bring
joy to every boy and girl.

Hi well-wisher,

what an amazing, fantastic little poem. Just great
for children and adults I think.

Thanks for the read.

Jenny.

Thank you, Pia. I'm glad you liked it.

I'd seen stories about "Young Sherlock Holmes" and "Young Einstein" but I'd never seen a "Young Santa Clause" so I thought it would be a fun idea for a Christmas poem.
