to be a poster boy
in a postmodern world
requires a sense of irony
and of nouveau misogyny
a baby faced thug
with a sensitive side
all group hugs and snide remarks
who takes time to agonise
who takes time to moisturise
laughter lines round a killer's eyes
a lady's man in gay attire
looking cool while acting wired
humour set on automatic
nervous tic of a cynical sneer
that spoils the botox smooth perfection
of his reflection's walnut veneer
in the spirit of the age
his is the acceptable face
of a raging areshole with a poet's soul
a 21st Century git of a man

Excellent. Hopefully 21st Century girls appreciate how much work goes into it.

Ah - but what would Byron or Shelley look like today - and would they spend their time in the tabloids or working on the page?
