The story does not break
and no-one stands accused,
so everyone is innocent,
apart from the abused.
Detectives stop recording
and remove the tapes
from evidence. I believe
if one man escapes
justice through privilege,
then all men of principle
are made out to be fools.
This is the true scandal,
almost worse than the offence:
our ignorance is their defence.

pacifist rebellion, or ignorance with shells on? the anticipation for resolution becomes a heart wrenching drink.
