buying loons in Mr Byrite
when two teenage girls
came in the shop and sniffed.
If they could smell me now
I would die of their disdain
for an old perv
eyeing them up in BHS
while choosing elasticated chinos.

Blue Stratos did it for me, I went through bottles of the stuff. And then I was taken out by a man, and my after shave clashed with his aftershave .. and it wasn't good in the confines of a small car. I moved onto perfume after that.
Brilliant blast form the past, enjoyed it. And yes, nobody under forty would wear Brut now ... but it could be worse, it could be Old Spice and then you'd have to add another fifteen years.

Isn't there a theory that smell is the most powerfully evocative sense for recall and memory?
I do like all your nostalgic stuff, it seems to strike a chord with so many people, me included.
It's probably the detail e.g. 'loon pants in Mr Byrite'
