Warrior king

from the ABC set The last days

There's a sea of green in Ghana,
Rumour is there's also sheep,
There is a mighty old shea tree in Ghana,
Where people sit and drink their tea,

Across my village there is a waterhole,
With three large hippo's and a blind buffalo
There's plenty to do when you don't have a job,
We collect beans which we sell,

My Auntie says one day we will be free,
But those good christian missionairies,
Say its the devil in me,
But I thought we was already free,

There's an abundance of food in ghana,
But we send it away on trucks,
There's wealth and tricks, and gardens too,

But my Auntie says,
Till we are free,
It all belongs to you!

A lovely poem Will. Can I call it a bit sad or is it meant to be happy? x
