Bats are as black as the night
Or as yellow as the sun
They will only take to flight
When the sunny day is done
Bats are mysterious and live like a rat
And fizz through the air
Quite swiftly at that.
A bat is as fury, as a mouse
And they are as cunning as a dare
They are as silent as a Jailhouse
As they move unheard through the air.
Bats are not as mean as a bear
But for some subtle people
It can be quite a scare
You may find some bats in a deep dark steeple
But I love them so much
More than most people.

What a great stanza this is, Yazmin.
I too love bats. We used to have many in our garden, but their numbers have declined over the past few years.
I enjoyed your poem very much.

I agree with Tina. The middle stanza is very good and the poem as a whole works really well. I too enjoyed it very much. Well done.
Nathan.
