A Thief Named Winter

I have never liked Winter
As it comes, as a thief, in the night
It creeps, and steals, The things you love
And it puts up a very good fight.

It stalks around the darkness
With a rage of cold, white smoke
It forms a cover of crystal poison
On the roads, many people, then choke.

I forget about the presents
And all the christmas lights
Because I have never liked Winter
As it comes, as a thief, in the night

The correct spelling is 'thief' - it's an easy one to get wrong!
