The Host

from the ABC set The Worries of a Confused Teenager

My head is excruciating,
Its killing me,
From the inside out,
The mistake was mine,
But the apology doesn't work,
Nothing ever does,
And it makes me go beserk.

The tears keep falling,
Nothing can wipe them away,
For I know I deserve it,
My body shuts down,
And my head soon follows,
I guess thats the way,
You pay for your sorrows.

Your heart falls out,
In front of your eyes,
It taunts you,
And murders you,
In its ungrateful ways,
For it wants a host,
But you it wants to pay.

Nothing is worse,
Than making a mistake,
But I deserve the pain,
Because of my ways,
Way more than most,
Maybe trust will arrive,
In the form of a host.
